Kids don't need to know whether you are straight or not. It is inappropriate for adults to be engaging in discussions about sexual orientation or gender identity. If you are a Math teacher don't be overstepping your boundaries. It is simple but not with this crowd. Some books like Gender Queer have been removed from school, I did read it because I thought people were being stupid but they weren't.

Where did I say I would be telling kids about my sexuality. I think teachers shouldn't get in trouble for mentioning in passing that they have a husband or wife, and I think that if kids are exposed to heterosexual couples in media there should be a problem with exposure to queer couples in the same way.
