Aaaah I’m sorry but I’ll be skipping this book; even though I like the author and the genre I just can’t bring myself to read this book again, too many frustration and mixed feelings from high school regarding ‘Master and Margarita’; I hope you understand :) looking forward to Agatha Christie detectives though

I was at the dentist today and took the book with me because I expected to be at least for an hour in the waiting room. But I ended up being there for just 10 minutes or so.
So, I didn't get far but I liked the first couple of pages and I'm looking forward to continue reading.

I am always stressed out by not knowing how to act
like a normal person
Similar (to StrangeKind’s) but partly unrelated story - every time I use public transport and internet service is usually terrible there (esp public Wi-Fi underground ) I usually have a copy of some sort of an ebook to read but I just cannot get into a habit of reading even though it would immensely benefit me :( similar story with audiobooks. Decided to share since it’s a book club + maybe some already had issues related/solutions? Would love to hear them!
I don't know if this helps but I try to take a book into my hands at least once per day day and read for a couple of minutes. Even it's just one paragraph, the important thing is to do it on a regular basis. Also, I try to use short breaks to read, like during commercials.

I find that even music can sometimes distract me too much from reading so I go with ambient sounds or silence when I can't seem to focus. No other way to get over it than keep trying tho I think.
How are you guys doing with the reading btw? There's a week to the first discussion date. Does it seem managable?

Alrighty. Based on that, it doesn’t hurt to put up the questions at least. It’s the 2nd of June today, so the time has come to start the discussion on part one (chapters 1 to 18) of Master and Margarita. If you’re not quite done with the reading, worry not! As previous projects have shown, the discussion usually stretch across several days. So, join us when you’re ready (or for the discussion of the whole book on June 23rd).
This time around, I’ve made a new thread for the discussion of the book. You’ll find the discussion questions there. Keeping the discussion separate might make it easier to separate the logistics of the club. It also potentially allows people in the future to find it easier.
I thought this book club was fantastic! I would love to participate, but unfortunately I am afraid of not having time to complete the current reading on the scheduled date.

I'll probably still include the most popular ones in the nxxt mix though. A few things to keep in mind on the suggestions:
- If the chosen book is not in the public domain (like projects so far), you'll have to be more active in attaining a copy
- Try to suggest books that are not too new. so that they are not too expensive and more retailers/libraries have them at hand
- Try to suggest books that are not too obscure, so that they can be found in most locations and countries
