For real though, I think the main issue that people had with the last election is that all the players in the new Prime Bimbo's state got bonuses, which is 1) unfair to people in states who didn't have a minister run, 2) will encourage people to only vote for their own state minister, and 3) make it so the bigger states will be more likely to have their minister win. Yikes

The "fix" that was just provided seems totally unrelated to the real issue. The only way I can see out of this is matching Atheista's bonus for all other houses, and moving from an oligarchy to an actually democratically elected government by removing the subscription requirement.

you've used "modernise" a few times. you know what's a great, "modern" way to make things that has really taken off in the last few years? community backed projects! which is kind of the only option for your specific project to work. so maybe listening to your community would be an idea.
I'm so confused by the most recent announcement. We were talking previously about how the prime bimbo elections should be MORE fair by making it LESS about which state you reside in but now it's going to be EXCLUSIVELY that? How does that make it fairer? It makes it less! Now the small states have NO chance! Ridiculous.
Funny how this shows exactly how powerless the PB is. The democratically elected PB has taken a stand against this policy and yet she is not being listened too.
Here are my ideas to improve participation:
Instead of giving users of the winning state bonuses, give all state ministers the bonuses to increase interest in running for state minister.Have state ministers run on the platforms for debates so users can choose a candidate they like best in some meaningful way BESIDE some vague aspirational bimboland program that everyone knows isn't going to happen (especially since state minsters don't even have the appearance of power the way the PB does) or else, have the SM candidates promote their ideologies in some other new way.Promote each SM's ideology in the forums after each election. Encourage users to change states to match which SM's ideology they like the most. Make switching states cheaper so users have the opportunity to do this if they wish.
