You literally cannot expect someone to react positively towards abuse. I, myself, don’t even hold myself to the standard of taking abuse with a smile on my face, why should anyone else expect me to? I understand that people are frustrated with me “lying” unintentionally, but ultimately this does not affect anyone else in this conversation the way that it affects me. I cannot ever take that back + I will forever be misconstrued as a liar when I did not do so intentionally + when the person accusing me has a history of gaslighting, manipulation, + lying. Especially towards marginalized communities. I read the fable of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” when I was but a young child, + as someone who has OCPD + struggles every single day to be absolutely perfect, I took this to heart. Rarely a day goes by where I don’t think about this tale, especially as someone who is constantly gaslit when talking about the abuse they face as a person, as a trans person, as a queer person, as a neurodivergent person, as a person with CPTSD. I implore everyone to not take the side of a known manipulative troll when the opposing party is a person who acted like a human being.
I have not read any of the posts proceeding my other post, this is just what I had to say because I predict that everyone here will treat me like most everyone else in my IRL has treated me: like a villain because I reacted negatively to being abused.
