"tritiya prakriti" is an outdated concept used for gay men which would be extremely homophobic today sine gay men are just that; men, not a third gender. The concept of non binarism first appeared on Tumblr a few years ago, which might help explain why it's only widely accepted and popular in a few select parts of USA. No offense to anyone, of course, since I know that trying to represent cultures you don't know enough about and using them to promote your narrative has been really popular recently. the more u know :)
