I'm currently battling depression, and I was very quiet about it for years. It all changed this year when I had an episode where I basically was sick of being in my own body, so I searched the house for all the painkillers I could find and consumed them all. I ended up getting hospitalized, and luckily everything was fine even though I took a lethal dose. Now I'm more open about it with my family, and I'm seeing a psychologist who is very helpful. I get all the love and support from my nearest and dearest, and I'm glad I'm able to see and experience that :)
Let's get real. . . mental health
I have had a whirlwind few days. Saturday night my husband took me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday..what he didn't tell me was that he asked his mom to watch the babies and we were spending the night away from home which caused a fight. The first sex I had in 5 months was just as painful as it was when I was pregnant. Last night my Nephew became a father, at the same time my 20 year old niece had a heart attack. My next door neighbor was taken away in an ambulance also last night the family do not know what's wrong with her. Family gotta love it. I think I should start going to a therapist but this time around I won't sleep with him for three years.
I too have struggled with depression and self-loathing quite a lot in the past and have used substances to try to numb that pain away. Now I'm trying a healthier approach by talking to a psychologist and trying to work out some terrible feelings I've had.

I'm sorry you feel if I was making fun of you. I merely tried to point out that some things are not what they seem or as simple as they sometimes seem at first glance. I do get your point though, don't get me wrong. I lost my aunt to cancer this year and I took over her cat. So I am reminded every day of that.

I think those items were created way back in the day (early 2000s) when people weren’t aware of how such items could come off. Unfortunately, we cannot delete any items from the store that have already been bought - the system literally does not even give us the option to do this.
All I can really do right now is tell you that I really hear your frustrations and hope to prevent items like that from being added in the future.
Edit: I went to go see where this shirt came from. It is a replication of a shirt from Glee, in which a teacher has OCD on her shirt as the students celebrate being “born this way”. If that makes any difference to you.

Honestly, I don't really think OCD and cancer could be compared. People with cancer would be offended by this comparison! Someone would rather have OCD than cancer if it was about choice. My cousin died last year due to the cancer. I would rather have him alive with OCD than dead.
As Railophone said, these tees were inspired by tw show. It dates back to 2011. It's not a single tee, there are 8 of them from the same designer
Maybe it was about accepting differences with a dose of humor and not about being offensive?

I feel like this is a case of people who don't have to live with OCD havin' a different perception of this problem to those who do have OCD. To us it might seem like OCD isn't a big deal, like it's "preferable" to somethin' like cancer. But *frost* is the one who deals with it on a daily basis and to her this is offensive. She wasn't tryin' to diminish cancer or mock people who suffer from cancer. She was merely pointin' out that obsessive compulsive disorder is also a serious health problem that deeply affects millions of people and shouldn't be caricatured like this and I agree. I feel like I have to say what I said in another topic that this reminds me of: just because it's not offensive to you or me or your friend across the street doesn't mean it's not offensive to the person it affects. And that's okay, it doesn't make you a bad person, we just gotta be a bit more sensitive to the needs of others.

No one said that OCD isn't a big deal, or any other disorder. It is a big deal but certainly not big as cancer simply because OCD person doesn't have to deal with chemo, radiotherapy and eventually die in misery. And why do you think that shirts were made to offend someone and not as sign of accepting differences?
Btw, these shirts were made who knows when, they were probably transfered from the old site. No one knows who added them and when. It's impossible to delete them. Players don't wear them because there are much better and interesting new clothes. These tees most likely just sit in the shop. There are no new items in similar fashion. And there will not be items that include any similar health references, homophobic or racial or anything similar in the future.
What about items with blood and wounds that look morbid? Someone could be easily disturbed by them. Or this item for instance

It's impossible. If OCD tee is a big deal she can make a request in recolor thread as Sandi proposed and someone will deal with it.
