Hmm I've never been on Prozac only have been on Wellbutrin XL/Sr and Cipralex. Wellbutrin helped with my low energy levels and Cipralex I've taken for anxiety (which it did help and got rid of my anxious behaviours). My most notable symptoms were crazy dreams - which I'm sure most SSRI's cause, intense sweating ... I mean all of a sudden my armpits would be drenched, and flat mood/or blank emotions.

I've been off everything now though since March? I wouldn't say I'm depressed or have anxiety anymore. And I definitely do not miss having sweaty armpits 24/7. xD

LMAO that totally sparked a memory I forgot. I also sweat like a mad man on SSRIs! Specifically Zoloft. My doc was like we can give you something for sweating (haha let's not prescribe a med to treat another med's symptoms), but I ended up switching to Wellbutrin a few weeks later. I also stopped SSRIs bc I literally could not cry while taking them, even if something was really upsetting or sad. 

Honestly Wellbutrin has been so much better for my productivity, I don't feel like I have to sleep 16 hours a day. :P The effects on norepinephrine and dopamine really help lol.

I know this thread hasn't been posted in for some time, but I really need to get my thoughts out somewhere.
I'm home with my parents until new years, which is hard enough, because they're much older, and my mom is constantly criticizing my life choices despite the great things I've done. I'm also working on residency applications right now (I know, I've told so many people) and I'm always constantly anxious now. Residency applications are super scary, and I feel like I am not a good enough applicant to match with my first choice residency, which is the hospital that I did 3 of my clinical rotations at. My GPA is just average for my school at 3.45, I don't have a lot of research experience, I didn't work during school, and I only held 2 leadership positions. I guess this is technically better than some other people, but I still doubt myself.
I have essentially doubted myself my whole life because of the way I was raised and thinking about that also puts me really down. I didn't deserve to be treated the way I did when I was a child; I knew I had depression at a very early age, likely elementary school, but I wasn't allowed to get treatment until my last year of high school. That's a lot of years to suffer. My parents are old and from Vietnam, where mental illness is taboo and "no one has it," so they didn't understand my needs until I feel like it was too late. Now I'm afraid I'll be depressed and anxious my whole life. I still do great things and work really dang hard, and all of my preceptors and teachers have loved working with me, but it's so hard feeling like you're inadequate. Feeling inadequate literally just sneaks its way into every part of my life, and all of this has been exacerbated by the amount of stress I'm under lately. 
I feel like crap. I'm on medication which is really great but this added stuff on me lately makes me feel like what I'm on is not enough. I am afraid to up my dose of bupropion because of the risk of seizures at higher doses, and I am afraid to use my clonazepam because I don't want to be dependent on it. I'm mentally and physically exhausted from working on these applications and sleeping at literally horrendous hours. I'm having a really freaking hard time right now and I just needed to vent and cry a bit.

Rail, so sorry to hear... First, you are not a crap. You are a great, clever and valuable girl. The best version of yourself. I know sometime is easy to forget about it, but you need to know that you are really fantastic. For sure in my opinion. 
It is important moment in your life. I believe is stressful. All you can do is to work as hard as you can. That's it. I have this trust, you know, if you work hard and you are a good person, universe is kinda fair and your work will bring results. Once again. You need to believe in your own power. But also find the balance. Your health and life is way more important. 
I'm sorry you have no support enough from your family. I know it is crucial to have it when you face with mental problems. I've been there. Do you talk with a specialist? Someone who could help you to find a way how to speak to your parents? Do you have a friend to listen to you when it gets worse? If you ever need to talk to a stranger who won't judge you, you know where to find me :) :*
