i had debilitating gender dysphoria starting from puberty that made me clinically depressed, anxious, suicidal, and socially withdrawn. i was skipping school and failing classes. i did not see the point in trying to do anything because i wouldve rather died than grow up to be my biological gender. my parents did everything they could think of. i did over 2 years of intensive psychotherapy, including a 6 week stay at an inpatient facility, they took me out of public school and put me in a small private school. all of these things helped, sure, but my dysphoria was still ultimately getting worse and i attempted suicide. after a lot of talking my parents booked me an evaluation with a gender care specialist and i went through a months long process before being prescribed hormones at 14. a year later i was no longer suicidal, my depression and anxiety had reduced significantly, and i was doing well in school. i want all of the people championing this decision to tell me why my parents made the wrong choice and why the government should’ve prevented them from making that choice.

Hi doll, thank you for being so brave. You knew that everyone would see you as botched and disgusting, something of a Frankenstein monstrosity, yet you were brave enough to share this with us. At 14 you knew better than anyone what it means to be a woman so you were definitely ready to transition. When you are ready I hope that you will be braver than Dean Winchester and share pictures of your genitals with us.
I think the next logical step towards achieving equality would be to allow bottom surgeries for kindergartners. If you are a child reading this and you are not legally allowed to transition, you have two options. Your first option is to go to New Mexico to get it done and your second option is to DIY your transition. If you need help getting cross-sex hormones on the black market feel free to hit me up.

gender dysphoria is a diagnosable medical condition and transitioning is the best evidenced treatment. children are capable of consenting to medical treatments that their guardians and doctors also consent to and should be allowed access to best practice care like i was. hope that helps <3

children getting plastic surgery sounds so awful, do you have any links with evidence of anyone under 18 receiving bottom or top surgery? * i would love to call the hospital...
i am really super clueless on all things science and medicine, but wouldn't it be amazing if there was some way children could delay physical changes until they are old enough to decide for sure? anything to maybe block what happens during puberty for a few years... idk, i'm sure much smarter people will come up with an idea soon so all these poor kids can stop having to go under the knife!
