Thank you HLB and Ceres - Hearing your advice and personal stories mean so much to me right now

Something really awful happened yesterday, a couple of hours after I wrote that message. My Nana called to say my Grandad had died. He wasn't in the best of health, but he was managing, so it came as a huge shock to us to find out he'd collapsed at their home. They're not sure what the cause of death was yet, but we think it might have been a heart attack. This has been absolutely heartbreaking for me, since I had both sets of Grandparents up until yesterday and have never lost a close family member like this. My Great Grandparents and Great Uncle died when I was little, but I'm far too young to remember, apart from Great Grandma who died from Alzheimer's when I was about 8 (I don't really remember what she was like before she was ill though). One of my best friends died late last year, but the funeral was small, only for close family. I spoke at her memorial service though, and it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I've never actually been to a funeral before, and I'm scared of how final it's going to feel. I don't know if I'm going to say goodbye to the body or just not look at it and try to remember my Grandad in the better times - I'm worried I'll regret not saying goodbye to him if I don't, but it's a scary thing to do.

I can't believe this has happened and I'm really going to miss him so much. He thought the world of me as a Granddaughter, always. When I was three years old he built me the most amazing pink doll's house for Christmas. That was the best present I ever had as a child.
Oh BambiDoll  I am so sorry to hear this........You have my sincerest sympathies and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.I never had a "grandma  while I was growing up both of my Grandma's died before I was ever born . they died while my parents were still kids.So I  only had Grandpa's one Died when I was 11 and I still miss him but I am glad I went to his funeral and said "Goodbye for now" he was pretty special to me.My other Grandpa died in 1994 when I was in my early 30's. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to him his death was to sudden. So if you can I would do my best to say goodbye.

Hello and welcome to the Pub.  You have indeed found the totally random, and rambling thread.  Any topic, any time.  :)

Yes, indeed !!  I went through the Richest bimbo's List and adjusted the values each player has reported.
I'll change the menu Prices for the Founders Inn and Pub as well on the first page. :D
Now they will look more realistic :)

Bambi I'm so sorry to hear about the passing. I felt distraught when my great grand mom passed away. I felt really sic the day of her funeral and it was hard for me to continue reading at the altar. I finished but it was so difficult. I cried so much for her. Don't be afraid for the final good bye. You need to let out how you feel. It's the only way the pain will cease.

I'm sad for your loss as well Bambi.  Funerals are for the living.  My mothers, and my husbands turned into more of a party remembering their lives and the fun memories they shared with people I would have never known.  It touched my heart to know how loved they were.  When I wrote the eulogy for my husband he spent one last night, personally with me. He put the words to the paper, not me. He told a love story with my hands, to his friends.  Embrace the final goodby.  My husband rests in peace with that paper he wrote with me that night tucked right next to his heart.

I better stop thinking about that, or I'll start rambling on about our fun adventures in bimboplayground. It was a good time in America for young teens to meet and fall in love.  Life was simple, free, and carefree.  The places we would go, nobody can even step foot in anymore. Forbidden in a literal sense. Our
wedding announcements had those photos on them. The place even had a romantic name. Cougars Cliffs. (insert 6 more pages here ,)
How is that for a first love memory?

That's certainly the sort of memory you should have when you see him for the last time.

I went to the doctor today.  I just had to.  The pain was getting to intense.  The story actually makes quite a statement of the Medical field, and government and the way they work together.    My story is actually very funny to me, and I want to share it.This is a story of how life can be so simple if you cut out the mandated  insurance companies  and government out of the equation. I may be only 1 in 3000 people with this sort of medical plan.

My town has a very unique population.  You could say a mindset right out of the 1800's, if you met our country doctor. What a truly fascinating man. A total rebel who fought  for the legal right and an amendment to federal law accepting the exemptions relating to patient data sharing. ;
Country Doctors as so exempted, but in every other way bound to the medical authoritative bureaucracy...

He makes house-calls.  Can you believe that in 2015?
I went into the office though. It is about 25 miles outside of the main town that we share as a common hub. I just happen to be about 15 miles from him so it was actually a very pretty drive, to see his home. While on the drive, I was called and told that I could move up my appointment to an earlier time.I laughed because I was only 5 miles away at that point.  I was just going to wait watching the river, till my appointment time, the perfect waiting room. No waiting for me.I was greeted personally at the door, and taken directly to the Doctor. The simple basics were checked, an order for x-rays and such.
Out the door in 25 minutes
Total cost $35 USD.

So I was then ordered, town for the x-rays.  Yeah, I had to go into the real hospital for this. I still didn't have to deal with the government however.
The good doctor has accounts for all his lab-work privately with the various fields of diagnostic services and offices.

So I go to the x-ray office, and  made quite the entrance. Thinking I may just have to get undressed, I wore the sleekest floral skater dress, no panties jeweled beach slippers, and my peircings.  Indeed I was not exactly low profile as I walked into a waiting room with about 14 common people reading stale magizines or watching the cooking channel. I felt a little sad as I walked in and saw the children.

Chapter 2
The waiting room.

I knew it was going to be interesting the moment I touched a water fountain.  Handicapped fountains are not meant for use by people with broken ribs, and I let out a short shrill scream. Yeah, It got everyone's attention.  So I get in que behind an elderly lady, who I would assume has early stage Alzheimer's. She was funny, and had confusing stories, about her doctor to share too. She seemed to think I was her nurse or family member, because I know everything now about her health, NOW.
There was a second person that was already waiting, watching her phone.  I knew her from years ago. A fellow stage-girl that I met at parties and such. When I knew her she was running with some rough dogs.
We also had a bad habit of falling asleep in her bed together yet not sex.  A safety in numbers game when escape became impossible. She was great to cuddle when the fights began. We spent quite a bit of time playing dead together. I thought she still maintained her body well after all these years too.
She was a Mummy too,  There with her daughter.  I smiled approvingly, at the memories that flashed before my eyes as we made eye contact.

I don't want to talk about the other ten waiting people.

A second receptionist showed up about 10 minutes later and came directly to me and pulled me out of que. I hadn't even been checked in.
Surprised?????    I was !!!!!!!
So was everyone's attention, in the waiting room was once again on me.  How long they had been waiting I could only GUESS, as I had just arrived.
"What could the crazy bimbo have done?" I'm sure was the common thought in the ROOM, at that second.

I was glad it was a female with a cute smile.  I was taken directly to be x-rayed.
The doctor warned them of my pending arrival.
Not that it was an emergency or anything, It is because he pays cash for services.
I pay Him Federal reserve NOTEs (real USD)

I was totally amused with how this x-ray technician performed her duties. perfectly professional, and yet she seem to know how to fit me with a dress too.  I was posed, and it felt natural to me, and she seemed to like to move me and pose me in the most painful ways too.  When she asked me about any metal it was so cute that she actually helped me take out my nipple rings .I was helpless with such a simple task. She was glowing, and I've seen that reaction in hundreds of people who I get fitted in stores by. I love that feeling because it is my SAFE-MODE.

I then walked out the door to resume my painful drive home.  The results being two ribs broken in 4 places. Makes sense to me, as it looks like the perfect dimensions of side of the ship. It even points towards my hip. I've looked at x-rays of many traumatic deaths, during the course of my study of aviation safety and accident data.         Looking at one of yourself ???
Is un-nerving to say the least.

Total cost for x-rays
$89.00 USD

Enjoy your deductables AMERICA

I have good insurance no  co-pays -no deductibles even though I am dependent upon insurance connected with SSI benefits but then California has always been noted for its excellent medical insurance for the poor, children, and disabled. all medical services are covered free of charge. The problem is other states don't provide adequate coverage for the poor, children,or disabled. I was on Facebook last night reading the wall of a "friend and I remember feeling extremely angry and her story is a shining example why the poor and disabled in other states don't have adequate coverage. For the sake of anonymity we will call her "Susie" Susie has  had 5 pregnancies ,4 living children and is pregnant with her 6th child all while on Welfare she was wildly posting about "Impeaching" The president for unknown crimes of her choosing and ill informing those who deigned to give her the time of day. that the simple act of charging Obama would strip his pension ,all legislation passed during his term in office etc would be declared null and void......... what angered me was not her lack of education or knowledge that to lose his pension he would have to be convicted of high crimes or misdemeanors. that's par for the course. many don't know the difference.was that she is actually the embodiment of why people are angry about the social welfare system Susie and her husband own a 4 bedroom house yet have been on food stamps medi cal and cash aid since their first child was born 10 years ago She has her pregnancies timed so that the moment the government would require her to go to work or job training when the youngest child reaches age 2 she is pregnant again.Once upon a time Hubby worked for Verizon until he decided he did not want to work and attempted to get disability for "Varicose Veins" which of course was denied.I was so tempted to blast her out of the water and tell her that almost no one who knew the truth about her would give much credibility to anything she had to say . She professes to be "Republican" but yet she is exactly what they are complaining about when they blast social welfare. I am the first to acknowledge and sympathize with her to a point over the loss of her first daughter to a rare genetic Illness as an infant except for the fact that as soon as she found out her daughter would not survive she and hubby immediately  set to work getting pregnant with her 4th child so welfare would not send her to work. her father in law had nerve enough to brag about the success of their efforts  :O end of rant...........Sorry HLB didnt mean to take the floor from you

This story is part of the flip side to the coin that most people can't see. Welfare fraud. As I see you mentioned California, it could also be why the entire state is totally bankrupt. I've seen my share of mothers that play that way with their children in Idaho too. No state is immune from welfare abuse. The sad thing about it, is that it raises the costs for medical care for everyone. Especially those with good insurance, and low deductibles, and low premium rates. the added costs are passed on to the people who play by the rules.  Medical costs have not gone down with the advent of Obama care. Fraud however has also increased, because it pays better than working, in most cases when children are involved.  Obama's dream of universal single payer medical care is a good idea, it just doesn't address the costs involved in caring for people who abuse the system. The bureaucracy also is why it is failing to win the hearts of actual taxpayers towards it's support.  If a plan doesn't eliminate the fraud at all levels, it will never be viable for a long term future.  SSI will be bankrupt too, by the time I am 64. I will likely never see a single worthless dime I paid into the system since I was 14 years old.

In a way, it is good for me to spend my cash right now while it still has some value and has already been taxed. I got more value for my money towards my medical care, because it wasn't filtered through so many hands, and bureaucracy.

Think about how Greece got itself in the financial mess, that has the entire EU in a panic.  The story of California and several other states, and the entire nation of America is nearly the exact same thing. To many people who have to rely on the government for survival. Nobody wants a pay-cut. People can't even get into bank accounts now in Greece. Governments end up printing inflated money to pay those debts eventually. Without serious social change in America, this nation will look like a 2nd world nation in 40 years.

Spend your children's inheritance now, while it still can buy something and you have access to it.  LOL
