obv ppl can do what they want and i have no say because its not my life, but poly is so dumb its always the same type of ppl that are poly, a mini friend group that cant pull so they date each other, a cheating dom who wants an excuse so they aren’t to blame, or ppl who aren’t emotionally mature/stable enough for a relationship but to pussy to be alone and dont want to play the hoe game. then you obviously have the ppl who wanted someone thats poly so they have to become poly to get with that person, and the poor victims whos boyfriends are porn addicted and online too much wanting an open relationship then regretting it because their partner pulls more and they have 0 matches on tinder. open relationships aren’t as bad in my mind like i said it creates a lot of sad women who pull more then their chronically online boyfriends, and when both parties are actually both open they just seem to have major commitment issues but are too scared to be alone

sounds harsh but i don't think you can be in a polyamorous relationship and truly have self respect ... i'm glass-half-emptying it but how can you watch your s/o seek out love/sex/companionship from other people?? how can you still feel like you satisfy their needs and are a sufficient partner if they're actively looking for another one?? like omg please stand up. fortunately i only feel attraction for people who worship the ground i walk on so forgive me if the metrics of polyamory are kind of lost on me! though i'm glad that people with intristic cheating tendencies are just dating eachother and cleaning up the dating pool a little for the rest of us :)
me n my partner r poly but it was mostly to keep his dick happy LMAO. i could not keep up tbh so i said just open the relationship it's w/e & now i just dont think about it very often?? it's working so far and it's been like 5+ years now.
we date separate tho n its kinda funny 2 see how our tastes vary
his r like low-lvl nerd girls who are all ALSO attached 2 poly relationships (he has asked me if i wanted 2 have a 3some b4 and i like women but i was like...not these LOL) and he has like 3-4? dw i make him get tested regularly tho. i only have 1 other partner but he's like drop-dead gorgeous, stylish n sweet n will actually go out dancing w/ me lol. when we go out 2gether we turn heads in NYC, it just sucks bc i only fly to that side of the country 3-4 times per year. tbh it feels like sometimes im only w/ my primary bc he's super rich/smart and im his housekeeper/arm candy 4 industry & family events lmao. if i had 2 be monogamous w/ him alone it might've caused problems tho bc his EQ is 0/10.
i dont think being poly works for everyone but im honestly confused by how many ppl get mad/grossed out by it? i HAVE been in poly relationships b4 that were just people trying 2 avoid a breakup/wanting 2 cheat but that feels like a problem with their personality tbh. u would be surprised how many successful couples turn out 2 b poly but just dont advertise it openly bc they dont wanna attract pests (like all the types of ppl triniti named? yikes! no thx). its like buying a hermes handbag, THEY have to offer first lmao.
