I've been curious for a while, but I decided to make a thread and poll for you all. Citizens are not allowed to comment on Bimboland Court threads, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to have a place to voice their own questions, concerns, or opinions. Though that also made me question, how many citizens even pay attentions to the court proceedings? Thus, the poll!

I thought it would be nice to give my 2 cent as a citizen. But you guys pretty much made every point I would have made ;) I thought the idea to jail was a very interesting one since the "punishment" that was issued is ridiculous. I personally try to ignore fights between "the gang" and not vote in them at all. If one of the gang is in a fight against any other bimbo I vote for whoever goes up against them. Anyway sometimes I have clicked faster than I read who is who, but basically that is what I aim to do at the moment.

I watch Bimboland Court! And in my humble opinion it is at least illegitimate. Let's look at the set up. Most courts around the world have the accused (most of the times represented by legal counsel), a prosecutor, a visible judge and in some cases a jury. But most important a court has a system of rules and consequences to fall back upon, the law.

Our court has an invisible judge and there is only a system of rules. There are no consequences agreed upon whenever someone breaks those rules. Where is it written down what the penalties are for cheating? Our court and it's invisible judge can only rule as they see fit. What penalties are there for having multiple accounts?

Then there is the evidence. I have carefully looked at all the evidence given in the last case (the 1st two cases were jokes, the accused deleted their accounts before sentence was passed), I can't honestly say after looking at the evidence against the "Athens group" that it has been proven BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT that we are looking at 1 person with multiple accounts. True, the evidence given makes the group highly suspicious. But I am not convinced (beyond a reasonable doubt) that "The Athens Group" is just one person. Did this person (or these persons) abused the system? Yes without a doubt they did. They voted for each other in several fights and debates with the benefit of the Angelina Diamond2 account. However they stopped when the 1st trial appeared. And even though they cheated some of them have made friends in this game and they have all been behaving themselves since.

This does not mean they shouldn't be punished. However I think deleting their accounts may be overdoing it in this case. Yes they are challenging each other, but they aren't voting for each other anymore. I have looked at their fights and debates ever since they all started. But the cheating stopped and that is the result we are looking for. Maybe I am to quick with forgiveness but I do believe in second chances. I say "The Athens Group" should deserve a second chance.

That being said, bimboland court is in my opinion illegitimate. If we don't have a visible impartial judge (and the prosecutor cannot be judge!) this court is nothing more than a spectacle. A show for the masses without any legitimacy, without justice. Evidence provided needs to be closing. which simply means that you can only bring someone to court if the evidence you will provide proves without any doubt that the accused is/are guilty. If there is just a small doubt however insignificant then guilt is not established. If there is doubt no independent and impartial judge in the world would pass the verdict: Guilty! The court is a nice idea but it needs much more improvement before I can take anything there seriously.

Honestly: I don't. Only sometimes i read new posts there (because I read all new posts) sometimes I reply. I don't belive in the effectiveness of the court. We waited almost half a year for the last trial, when actually all players demanded it as a first one in May. The first two trials before were curiosic, because all accussed players deleted their accounts before the end of it.

If running more than one account is forbidden here, the admin should prepare tools to find those account and delete them on his own. It's matter for IT developers, they don't need players cooperation in it, but it's easier to take off responsibility.

So the trials are useless, they bring no fun and the Team has no idea what to use them for and how to use them. They started the trial that took 6 months to prepare end in the end they left it with no consequences. Seriously, if they treat this ridicilous court this way, i think we should not loose our time and nerves on it.

@Sandi Lut: Very well spoken. I appreciate you pointing out that the undesired behaviour has stopped and also I think second choices are important. I would not take anything that happens here too serious beyond a certain amount because it is a game after all. I would however like to see, that someone cheating is punished in a manor that is really a punishment and also a deterrend for others. The fact remains - one player or two or four - that one or some players gained an unfair advantage over others and possibly broke the rules in the terms of service. The advantage gained in an unfair manor was not taken away, instead things that are very easy to replace have been taken away from their accounts. I would not delete the accounts, but to be able to keep the majority of the achievements and numbers gained by cheaing is, what feels too soft and disppoining for players who do not have "a gang". On the other hand I totally get your point, that a conviction without ANY doubt can not be made here. Only: In no case ever will that be possible. If all the evidence presented including email account names, reallife names, paypal accounts, mysterious confusing the own name with that of my sister and then confusing my sister with my friend is not enough evidence, there will never be. The hardest facts we can get is activity from IPs and a conviction with less doubt will only be possible if the defendant confesses. (Same as real life by the way)

@Iulja: I second the feeling that this court is useless and ineffective. Took too long, outcome was not helpful, seems more like something to "keep the people busy".

Still I have no personal issues with any player and I follow the court nevertheless and I am amazed how serious such a game can get on the one hand and how little the outcome and effect was on the other hand.

Ineffective, and actually a little flawed too. Sandi Lut pointed out the more obvious flaws very well.

A Kangaroo court, come's to mind. The Gang in 'Power', that actually is doing the same as the accused,determine's a judgement against any other threatening 'Gang', is a total conflict of interest.
All it take's is to look at the voting records of debates and fight's to know just exactly how bad the gang's have become. Dead/naked/car-crashed Bimbo's, being used by the player-groups, who are always experiencing 'perfect timing', in setting up a debate, or fight and get 5 vote's in a minute or less by always the same player's.
Then they 'Stack' on more challenge's to fight's and debates, to the same 'feeder-bimbo', all day!!! Just having 5 multi-account's can also assist in not needing to earn as many token's to start those challenge's too, because those account's are voting and earning those token's too at the rate of 5X what an honest player can earn. It really is no wonder, given this way to CHEAT, that people are earning 250+ win's per week in debates and fight's. It took me 4 year's to earn 1000 win's in debate's and I am one of the most well known and active players. 250 wins in a single week just couldn't be possible to win without some multi-account's and smart phone's, given that there is a backlog of page's because there isn't anyone voting on any of the 'NON-gang' player's and the debates and fight's they set up. Any debate that get's 5 vote's in the time it takes to refresh a page, is certainly Not being Honest. I have taken screen shot photo's of them, 2 minute's past the start of the week on Monday, page 1. But is that proof? No, but it is what is happening in the Top Ten's List.

This was an issue I dealt with for 12 term's as Prime Bimbo, but being alone and without any other staff, I took a more hand's on approach. I wrote letter's and asked question's of my suspect's. One on One. Often I would discover that it was just a coincidence like winning a large level award bonus, that made someone look guilty. I let more accused cheater's go free with a better understanding of the player,than I ever banned. In the internet world, morality, ethic's and proper behavior never seem to apply to Most Dedicated player's. So they try a 'test cheat' and get away with it, and the next thing you know they are scoring unrealistic amount's of point's as a low level player.
"Cheat at all cost's to see your name at the top of a list, is the only goal." This is the 'Mind-set', at the very beginning of joining any community, but most obvious in the gaming world of competition, for rewards. My invention of the Top Ten List's are currently making me sick, because the new activities, and the scoring/ and 'time's per play/, and Senator reward value's are totally out of balance causing the Top Ten to always be ruled by the 'Elite's,' in our society. This part of building the game, REQUIRES fairness and a perfectly tuned balance of time/money/value. I believe that it is currently discouraging new player's to see such unrealistic scores, and knowing that it is absolutely impossible to ever catch-up to the 'high level' player's and win a prize of B$ too.... [unless they cheat]
Court's cannot force people to be Ethical, or honest and that is the hardest challenge for any leader to fix...

PS Nia78 was a leader of a cheating clan. I know because I threw her and many of her other account's in jail too, but unfortunately everyone is released before every Prime Bimbo election. Her clan is not GONE and they vote too. I witnessed Election Fraud in Bimboland, first hand. Something so fundamental to a nation, can and is used to cheat, because it is so easy to make multi-account's. Tracking IP#'s doesn't work in the age of smart-phone's and clever cheaters. The game itself needs to be coded against the CHEATS. That mean's rule's, in the game.... Like only being able to debate a single player, just once a day, would be a good start. I have many idea's because I've had 4 year's to think of better method's of keeping the game fair for everyone. Currently the rule's only benefit the wealthy player's and cheating clan's so it seem's absurd to only focus on one Clan/gang in a court, when nearly everyone is biased towards themselves or friend's, anyway's.

I have decided to forgive Kimsim, because I don't get the impression that that the 'LAW' in the form of actual practice is a 'skill set' that he has. A decent programmer, that I wish would have been hired, when I was the Prime Bimbo. I asked, in every communication I had with the Owner. He sat on his Arse.......
My ideas were used, but the 'rules' were decided on with 'gamer/programmer' mentality, without any discussion or input from the community. I set up polling threads, for really important game play issues that would affect the Bimbo's.
Again, it was not Kimsim's or Sachem fault, in my opinion. They tried doing a job in a Bimbo Court that they are not trained to do. The result was disappointing, but not surprising to me. The drama of it all, and not being allowed to enter the 'Court thread' even though I hold knowledge of the accused, and was a potential witness. Personally I was amused, by this. Of course I would have been a 'prosecutor witness', but some of the people on the 'criminal list were innocent and 'suicide'ed' themselves during the 'Which hunt'. Nobody likes being innocent and being accused of being a criminal in a social community.
Shame on The COURT !
Law and order, take's a long time and study, and real life practice to do fairly and without bias. I would rather them do the programming, and leave them out of the politics of Bimbo's.
I would have loved to work with Kimsim. He can do, what I can imagine, for a Bimbo Republic. Together we could have worked out many of the problems we have today, before they became so virulent. The Bimbo community has been invaded by parasites, and nobody seems to care very much to do something about it, because they just don't know any better way to build a nation. It's not exactly a 'class' you can take in university. It really does take a life-time of experience to learn.
