I'm still trying to understand the new rules and what counts as a thriving democracy.

If there are 2 candidates running in the election, is that enough?

Can Miss Bimbo declare that one of them isn't a "healthy candidate?"

Are there more requirements beyond just having 2 candidates?

What conditions must be met to prevent Miss Bimbo from installing himself as Prime Ximbo dictator?

Just to be clear everyone, there’s no new rules. All of this is what Miss Bimbo wants to do when she inserts herself as PB at the end of Bleckys third term. She’s on her second one right now, so we’ve literally got months and months to go. I think we should just leave this be now and worry about it closer to the time :)

“President Miss Bimbo and members of Team President are allowed to edit and delete posts, to forum ban, jail or perm-ban any player based on their own judgment.

“Punishments will not be discussed in public (forum and comments), outside of ximbo.land or with anyone else beside the player in question. Any kind of discussion on this matter takes place in private via PMs.

“Warnings will not be discussed in public either unless they were made public.”

I could have made another contest out of this one, but I think we can dispense with such frivolities now.
Those three paragraphs could be the basis for Miss Bimbos claim that the Democracy element of Ximboland is teetering on the edge of default…

A Democracy doesn’t exist on just voting. Without a Constitution that is worshipped as the highest law of the land…higher than Pink House and Miss Bimbo herself….

Is a democracy in name only…will quickly fall into authoritarian hands.

Look at those rules. They are only a year and a half old. Toki’s rules which preceded this were much more elaborate.
They have been greatly simplified now…probably to make things easier for the people who have to push the button…

…to jail you, or ban you, permanently, for a crime you are not entitled to even SEE THE EVIDENCE OF…and you better not discuss, anywhere, with anyone, either here, or on some off site forum…including but not limited to, Discord, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, Xwitter, the Jerusalem Post, you get the picture.

those rules are still in force, and unless something is done before this next election, Miss Bimbo has every right, to dissolve Parliament and declare Ximboland a Monarchy until such time as she thinks her democracy is once again functioning to her standards.

I’m making this post because I am guessing these are some of THE RECEIPTS needed to flesh out the EXACT CHANGES that will get us back to a citizen voting system…if the current incarnation of PH is to be shown the door.

Until Miss Bimbo appears once more…I wish you all well this Christmas Shopping Season.

If the people cant critique the government, it is not a democracy.

Since most of the bimbos in power are right wing anti sjw etc, I have observed bimbos being able to harass and act in highly inappropriate ways in the name of making fun of what they deem woke or sjw. They receive no real consequences and are friends with the people in power of the game. That makes any political engagement by people who does not share this right wing view pointless because the "government" is biased. Id rather just enjoy the game and the friendships Ive made here... If you raise your voice you are met with aggression and condecending responses. But for some reason its okay to harass people in racist and transphobic ways.... It makes no sense... So its not really a democracy is it??

Anyway Chris is delusional and this is all laughable, but frustrating... Are we children or adults here?

Also "Richard Fromage" LOOOL you guys really think we are stupid dont you? I am getting so tired of this stuff. I am disgusted by you adult people behaving like literal kids. You are thirsty for drama and love feeling like victimized right wing people.

I have no skin in this game so I'm kind of confused. Chris says that the right wing voices are claiming the Pink House are oppressing and censoring them, but now the exact opposite is being claimed. Meanwhile, KirstyD8 and Blecky have stated a couple of times that people are generally only permanently banned for being alts, bots or underrage.

The only thing I really take issue with is the fact that there's a more severe punishment if bad behaviour is aimed above. That should be equal. But I don't think that's something instated by Blecky? I've previously seen Chris threaten to ban people for criticising him so I don't know just how much of that is really due to the rules in their current form.

I think really, we need to start seeing evidence and examples for claims, I think rules should be made with consultation of the community. I think a lot of blame is also being thrown around without people being given the opportunity to explain the rationale for rules or decisions.

All I know for sure is Chris being automatically installed as Prime Bimbo would not be democratic and it sure as shit won't fix anything.

Some random thoughts, so I apologize if I'm all over the map here: Some of us are just here to have a little fun and play dress-up games, make and share cute, sexy outfits, view other peoples' creative looks and react, share gifs, etc. We have enough hassle and strife in our real lives, that we don't need it in our little fantasy online lives. Real life is political enough.

Those of us who have no interest in the politics of this site, or any interest in paying real money to play or running for office ourselves just want to be left alone to have our fun. I keep supporting L, my state minister, because I think she does a great job and lets us Agnosticans have a good, fun "Ximboland" life. None of this should really be taken very seriously, because at the end of the day this is just a GAME afterall, and nothing that happens here has any bearing on real life. I think some of the people who play this game need to chill out.

The whole renaming this site to Ximboland was really silly. Was "Bimboland" too offensive? What? Who was actually offended by that, and if you were, don't you have more important things to worry about? So yeah, there is some "wokeness" for sure, but what does "woke" even mean anymore? Those of us who didn't like the name change moved on and kept playing because we liked the game regardless of the name. It made little difference to the core of what made Bimboland fun! It'd be like if they renamed Tetris to BlockDrop; stupid, pointless decision, but same game so still fun regardless of the name.

A few people posting have made some really unfair generalizations. Some people think that that world would be a better place if men didn't tend to dominate politics. Really? Have you seen how catty and petty some women can be toward each other? People are people, and power is power, regardless of gender. Ocasio-Cortez is insane and hostile, for example, and I hope to heck she never becomes President of the US! That would be a dangerous disaster.

Some people have suggested that "right wingers" don't like dress up games. Why not? Why wouldn't they? Some people have also suggested that just because someone is "right wing," that they automatically hate the LGBT community, or they're automatically racist. You know there are a LOT of gay, trans, black, Latina, etc... "conservatives" out there, right? Being of a certain ethnicity, or gender, or orientation doesn't mean you HAVE to vote a certain way, and anyone who says that they must... well they're the closed-minded ones.

Regarding left and right politics, in real life, very few issues are EVER right or left. I'm tired of this idea that because you lean "right" on one issue, you automatically have to lean "right" on all others. No. Not at all. No one else has the right to tell you how you should vote, or what you should believe is right about any given issue. That's on YOU to decide for yourself, based on your own intelligence, morality, beliefs, life experiences, culture, upbringing, etc.

I lean left on some issues, and I lean right on some issues, and tend to fall somewhere in the middle on most things. This is why "swing voters" are so important in real life democratic nations. They listen to all the politicians' platforms, and vote on whomever they think is going to do the best thing for them and their loved ones, their communities, etc., regardless of what political party's logo happens to be on their lapel pin.

People who vote for someone simply because they wear a Donkey or an Elephant, Red or Blue... are they REALLY weighing their options? Are they REALLY politically informed? If someone votes against a politician because they made one misguided comment, or because their friend told them that politician was "evil"... are they REALLY making an informed political choice?

Anyway, that ended up being a way longer rant than I thought it would be. Thanks for reading, if you made it all the way to the end, haha.

I’d like to add my two cents as feedback, not so much as looking to join this discussion.

Firstly, it’s the bringing in of real life politics and drama that is discouraging me right now. I come here for escape, to roleplay as something I can’t be or do in real life. I’d say a lot of us do that on the internet in general. The mention of outside problems ruins the fantasy in my mind.

Secondly, we all have bigger fish to fry than site politics. I haven’t had my Senator benefits for two months now despite my statements showing I’m paying for it. so clearly the behind the scenes support needs way more work. Our PB is doing her best to resolve this for me, meanwhile I’ve still heard nothing from the email I sent via “contact us” link.

We should be asking ourselves what WE can be doing to improve the website. If you have the skills to get involved, DO IT! As for those who have the skills, create a new forum corner to sharing knowledge so more can learn. Financial difficulties aren't the only thing stopping us in participating. It’s not enough to give a list of what PBs and SMs do, we need to see how these things get done. It’s like telling someone to learn an entirely new language without any support beyond a singular book.

I haven’t been around long, nor have I been as active as I was at first. When I joined I found a lovely, welcoming community of ADULTS. Where I could be something I can’t be irl. I can be provocative and flirty. I can dress up like a stripper or a slutty centaur! And there was this unspoken mutual agreement that it’s all roleplay! It’s all fake! No one can get hurt! We can all safely act like dumb but secretly intelligent materialistic whores that like to ~sniff sniff puff puff glug glug~. No talk of violence or of real world tragedies. I saw this place as a Barbie land. Like a place in Sweden. Untouched by the outside world except for serious drama. I had no idea so much drama had been brewing…

In conclusion. My opinion. Leave real world affairs out of this game and let this be the one site for adults to be something other than a orc or elf or whatever mythical races all the other sites and games have. Provide accessible resources for those who are interested in doing more for our community. A democracy cannot survive without civil support networks / structures. Please, don’t let this place crumble.
