Ximboland democracy failures and how to address it
hearing the extent of everything is super depressingfrom what i have gathered, all of these issues originate from this coder guy in the middle of everything? does he still work on the site? he seems like a very unpleasant person. maybe we should all turn our focus to addressing this man causing rifts between everyone?

- people like butterfiy and auntielice have essentially been sanctioned trolls.(hi, i know this is the first time i've ever actually acknowledged you! do your thing, i won't be responding to either of you.) i've seen them say literally anything they think could be incendiary, even contradicting past sentiments, just because they hope it'll get a rise out of someone and get them that attention they're so desperate for. it's mostly new users who are not familiar with their shit and give them an undeserved benefit of the doubt who try to engage them. i have only ever once seen them get a week-long ban, and then they came back, committed the exact same infraction (repeatedly asking an intersex player invasive questions about their genitalia), and it was reported again and no subsequent action was taken against either offender.
- meanwhile, as mentioned in other posts, other users have been banned for? existing as queer, apparently
- mariolka is not the sole source of all our problems, but his presence on the site has been pretty emblematic of everything wrong with this place (remember the time he posted a story on the forums about "killing rainbows"?). like it's absolutely not a secret that he posts what any other site would consider hatespeech, and that that hatespeech is allowed because of his position. if chris were a responsible owner or even just a normal person who at all disagreed with what mariolka was saying and rightly recognized it as a liability to his brand, he'd have found a new coder years ago. but he stays cool with mariolka for some reason
- "why has [xyz left-leaning or non-in-group user] not run for office?" this kind of treatment and inaction from staff implicitly condones that kind of behavior. it de-incentivizes people who are not already aligned with those in charge from trying to obtain these positions of power. left-leaning users who might want to actually change something are aware they're going to be under higher scrutiny, and possibly target of more harassment or bigotry than before if they choose to put themselves in the public eye. the written rules may say one thing but in practice there's not a lot of room for anyone who has an different perspective to enter into ximbo politics. as plush put it: "the stress was not worth it."
- also in my own personal opinion i am not wasting any of my real actual money on this site to get the senatorship in order to run. this is not a product i consider worth paying for
- if the owner wants this to be a right-wing site, market it clearly as a right-wing site, and i'll leave of my own volition. otherwise it feels like the idea of "democracy" on a sassy little dress-up site is to try to scam lefties and non-bigots out of their money toward a useless product with the vague ideas of changing it - which has been demonstrated doesn't matter, because chris/"miss bimbo" will be self-appointed regardless if chris doesn't like how things are functioning as per the will of the player base.
if this is the post that gets me banned, then it will have been worth it! but i don't think there's any saving this place, i can only hope someone comes up with a more moderated clone where i can play dress-up without worrying about getting called slurs or having someone try to bait me into a conversation about which identities are valid.

Speaking of banning people going to court, well if chris does what he stated then the ban tool won't be needed for the next PB since alts and bots are not a problem. Only problem will be minors and next PB can contact admin to ban the account. Problem solved. Remove the banning tool from PB.
Speaking of courts since we want things to be transparent in the PB term court should be used for jailing. That would make it fair and transparent if someone needs to be jailed that way no PB and their FP can abuse it. We wouldn't want someone jailing someone just because they dislike or hate them, holding onto grudges right? Plus since you stated you advocates freedom they should get to speak before any jailing. Seems like a good option all round for transparency.

Having the coder of the game threaten to break someone’s legs really sums up what’s been going on behind the scenes imo. And the fact that whenever it’s been shared it gets deleted and the person get banned. At this point, I’ve had enough of being scared to speak my mind, so ban me like all the others. I was happy to reach out to Iowa and ask about wtf was going on, because no court case was ever made. And that’s the case for so many fucking players. I went and did my own research, and I’m standing here now saying I want no fucking part in all this bullshit anymore. I’m an SM that advocates freedom of speech, and yet mention any reason as to why Iowa got banned, or any of their friends, mention Marr, mention the Reddit, mention the Google doc, mention ANYTHING that would indicate corruption in the PH and you get banned. I will agree, CURRENTLY bots/minors get banned. During Bleckys term she’s been absolutely wonderful and kind and generous and an absolute joy for everyone on the site. I don’t think anyone is claiming that’s Blecky has wrongfully banned though. We are talking about past events.
And yeah. I guess I’m a little nervous about speaking out after seeing all of these screenshots, considering theyre showing the absolute power trips people have gone on in the past.
I know you guys are pissed off but I think staying civil and just answering the genuine and valid questions people have is probably the best way to resolve the matter.
