Let's be real as this thread says. Obviously you visited the thread in question at least twice, since there are 2 of your comments. If you are not subscribed to some thread you get notification only for the post after yours. Ableists or not, people can't always predict what possibly can offend or hurt someone unless it's very obvious. Both have a right to have an opinion. There are some people who like that thread and post there. There were no other people reporting that thread or posts there. It also doesn't mean it should be taken down because of one complaint if it doesn't break the rules. Disappointing or not, it is the only way how things could be handled at the place with big variety of personalities with different backgrounds - following the rules, making the rules equal and uniformed for everyone and enforcing them equally to everyone. Arbitrary and radical actions certainly break the rules, that's why that thread was left up.
I am sorry you feel disappointed but the same rules apply to everyone.
