On a pretty deep downward spiral right now. Had to turn to my disposable to try and feel better and it just doesnt help in the way that I thought it would.

was in a rough episode the past 3-4 weeks but things are finally looking up and Im feeling a lot more secure in myself finally
I am technically functioning, just not as well as I'd like to be.
Got out of bed, eating breakfast, going to head to work in 15 or so minutes. I am capable of doing my job but I don't always enjoy it. I curse & scream & cry & bang on my desk in the safety of my office.

my providers recommended psychological testing for me since the last time i did it was when i was 18 and the psychologist had a lot of biases. but they said because of covid that they wouldn't be able to get me in until february at the earliest. that's so far away i'm going to scream

I have had quite a few different types of questionnaires/tests by different providers over the years.
The most common are the PHQ-9 & GAD-7, which are 9 questions & 7 questions respectively. By your description, it sounds like you are referring to something more in-depth that can only be done by certain people.
As for me, a brief check-in: I think I might be feeling burnt out. I do work 12 hour shifts sometimes. If someone already has depression, though, is burnout really different or just more depression?

yeah they want to do the MMPI test specifically, along with others. the kind of testing that takes a few hours over a course of a few sessions. i was able to get it scheduled for december though so i'm glad for that.
also in my opinion burnout is all the worse when you're depressed. feels like we're both easier/faster to burn out and it hits us harder. hoping you can get a break soon cinnamon !

I was scheduled to try a new telehealth therapist today...she never showed up... Two hours later, I'm still sad & frustrated about it. Going to curl up with a weighted blanket.

I think after quitting school my mental health got a lot better, especially for overestimulation.
Although, since my mom's surgery (which was somewhere around 2018) and the fact that she still hasn't recovered and my injured foot which has made it difficult for me has put a lot on my mental well being...Certainly it's been difficult and I've had trouble staying positive;-; but I've kept going :>
