Sorry. I just wanted to confirm. Where I live, marijuana & marijuana edibles aren't legal. Hemp CBD products with <0.3% THC are legal but when I tried, I had to take 60 mg CBD to see an effect, which was multiple gummies and sometimes a lot of gummies. I think one brand of gummies had like 20 mg per bag, so I had to eat 3 bags of gummies. Not worth the $$$.

its ok dw! also really seemed it wasnt worth it at all :( i just usually just one small dosage of mine which are just "weed butter" (for lack of a better word) otherwise theres a high chance of getting way too high or just greened out. think that might be bc of the higher percentage of thc in those but yeah

ahh thank god for this thread!! ive had recurring insomnia since i was maybe 9-10 as a byproduct of my anxiety!
sometimes, im even scared to fall asleep coz i am scared ill have an awful dream .... and sometimes the worse part is the brief period being awake in between dreams as for some reason i always get awful depressive thoughts during this time idk why...or ill experience brief moments of panic abt life admin stuff.

also when i used to party alot id get sleep insomnia, which sometimes happens now when i lie on my back, its like ill be in this liminal stage between sleep and wake and ill try to scrunch my face or scream myself awake but i cant - not sure whether its sleep paralysis anymore or whether im lucid dreaming and convincing myslef that im having sleep paralysis!

now however, i just have normal sleep issues, i have a restless leg which stops me from sleeping and i literally cant sleep until ever single drop of pee has left my body lol. some nights im fine, weed and melotonin help, but when im anxious i just cannot sleep/i will sleep from like 5-9. its annoying i wish i didnt care abt sleep, people around me seem to function just fine with or without it, but i have an anxious attachment to getting to sleep and staying alseep. like bedtime freaks me out.

thank you all for making this thread a safe space, i dont feel alone anymore and we really need to continue posting our issues here so we all feel heard :)

Ever since I was a small child I've had some kind of sleep issue :/ I have a really hard time sleeping through the night and even when I wake up exhausted at 4 am I still can't go back to sleep. Then I'll go through the day running on 4 hours of sleep and STILL won't be able to sleep. It was way worse in middle and high school when I couldn't take anything for it but I've gotten more of a handle on it now (knock on wood lol). I've tried a few different prescription sleep meds and over the counter stuff but one of the biggest things that helped me was upping the dose of the antidepressant I had already been taking. Diphenhydramine (which I'm pretty sure is just benadryl) and melatonin have also worked pretty consistently for me

I've had a few different types of insomnia so for me it's quite a gamble on how i will feel when I wake up and what time it will be, for the most part though I seem to have a better time of it sleeping in the daytime and being awake at night.

I've had sleep problems ever since I was a kid. I grew up with epilepsy that was made worse by lack of sleep, so insomnia wasn't exactly my friend. I used to take melatonin and built a tolerance to it, which was less than great. Now that I'm older I've mostly outgrown my seizures, but I do still have problems sleeping. Lately I've been having lots of problems with sleep paralysis when I first wake up--does anyone have any advice on how to deal with it?

trouble sleeping when my head hits the sack. i stay almost an hour awake. i also over sleep.
these things are easy to fix.
don't drink too much liquids so you don't get up in the middle of the nights going to the bathroom. also try to sleep before 9 o'clock. seriously i cannot stress enough. if you do that, you won't have any of the sleeping troubles and you will feel much healthier.

Carmen, although I agree that a consistent sleep time is helpful, I don't agree that it needs to be 9PM. When I was in university, I regularly had classes scheduled from 7-10 PM. Then, I worked in healthcare. Both in a hospital & in a nursing home, night shifts are common. Even while I've worked in retail, I often worked past 9.

In short, I think that some people's studies or work may prevent a 9PM bedtime.

CinnamonSugar.
i know. i used to work in retail business (the worst jobs in the world) and bosses would be delighted to pull me from my weekends to work nights, overnights and 14 hours 6 days a week. being an adult means you get little luxury to sleep whenever you want. that's why i said "try" to sleep before 9 o'clock. i know it's hard to but at-least try. health is the most important thing for a person, more important than a measly, replaceable job. having a job doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your health and your sleep to be someone else's slave. if you could try to sleep before 9, then great. before 8, even better. nothing is worth losing your health or sleep over. trust me.
