I have insomnia and everybody is different but melatonin gummies worked for me! I also find it's easier to fall asleep when I have something playing in the background like music or a tv show where you don't really care about the plot. I'll also make a cup of tea or the milk from ponyo which is made with a bit of hot water mixed with honey and cinnamon so you have a kind of syrup (amount of honey depends on how sweet you like it) then fill the rest with milk (dairy is good but I like to use oat milk)

I usually takes me ~2 hours to fall asleep and then I usually have a hard time getting up when I'm supposed to because of it :(
Something that I do to trick my brain into sleeping is basically making up a story in my head where I'm the MC and I'll tell myself/act out the story in my head until I hit a point where the MC is asleep/unconscious for whatever reason. And then ~obviously~ you have to pretend to be unconscious too, and you have to make it for a realistic amount of time so you can't wake up in the story yet! And I end up falling asleep quicker than I would have otherwise because I've tricked my brain into pretending to be asleep lmao

i have multiple things and they all play into it. I've got ADHD and both with and without my medicine it makes me less likely to sleep. I have to take sleeping medicine that has been prescribed to me and it helps a ton. <3 hope you guys are all doing well
i have trouble with taking melatonin, still not being able to fall asleep for hours, then being tired in the morning, any tips?
I usually can’t fall asleep because of overthinking, so I put on a podcast or YouTube video which I can listen to so I can close my eyes. It helps me not to focus on my bad thoughts and calm down. I also take melatonin tablets.

getting a new bed helped my scoliosis but memory foam cant fix insomnia from ptsd so i bought a sound machine that changes sounds and colors plus every now and then i take anxiety meds before i go to sleep
