My point was that age should not be the point to determine whether a trans person can or can't access gender-affirming healthcare when there are so many factors in developing maturity. As a trans person who has gone through the public healthcare system, I spent over a year and a half with a gender clinician before even starting the process for HRT. A breast reduction surgery might not fall under gender affirming care, but a boob job on a cis woman who feels unfeminine because of her smaller cup size would be. The same way that older cis men get topical serums to prevent balding.

If an AFAB woman who has facial hair walks into the womans restroom, should she also face harassment and abuse? Of course trans people can be bad people. But they are not bad people BECAUSE they are trans. Every transfeminine person I've ever met has never even entered a space for women without first being invited there. Why? Because they don't want to face the real abuse happening in gender-specific bathrooms. Harassment from transphobes.

Trans women just want to be respected human beings. If standing up for the rights of some of the most marginalized people in the world makes me a misogynist, maybe you should consider why your definition of misogyny includes not discriminating another group of people in it.

What makes a transperson bad is entering a space fully aware that women are going to be scared of them and still not care. I am a tiny slender little thing, when I travel I am scared to go to the bathroom alone. It is so eerie in there at 2a.m, I'd pee my pants if I saw a dude pop out of a stall. My husband always stands by outside waiting, what a gent huh :3  lol I'm a minority too but holy shit, I'd be embarrassed to demand privilages above others. I also do not have a victim mentality because that is unproductive. Misogyny is sexism to keep women below men. Such as women say no to male presenting trans entering and you saying that they belong there no matter what we feel.Men rights above women's rights. Misogyny. iowa thanks for posting all those examples, even though it seems to have gone over their heads. literally just recycled anti-gay rhetoric. people back then were just as freaked out by lesbians & gay men in locker rooms as they are about trans people in locker rooms today (despite plenty of evidence showing that trans people are more likely to be victims of sexual assault than perpetrators of it) 

all these anti-trans people would've been vehemently anti-gay if they were born back then....its just not AS socially acceptable to call gays freaks & pedos as it was back in the day. 

just because the exact same language isn't used word for word does not mean that two arguments or situations are not comparable. you're conveniently leaving out that most of the newspaper clippings (these are not 'some people being anti-gay' btw, these were pervasive views at the time and still are today for some people) about predatory behavior were about lesbians. straight women didn't want lesbians in locker rooms because there was a perceived threat of 1. predatory lesbians and 2. increased risk of sexual harassment/assault and lack of privacy in women's facilities, when there was no evidence that that threat was real. the idea that lesbians were predators and a danger to other women (and especially young girls) was everywhere in media. now everybody put your thinking caps on and connect the dots...

i also do appreciate your engagement and attempts at understanding. its much better than ranting and raving about my genitals which is a reaction i get more often than you might think.

Well darling you did say it was word for word so I took it literally.  I do not just watch what the media is saying and take it as the absolute truth. I do my own research, read bills and try my hardest to keep up with politics on both sides. Lesbians are women and idk about you but being as small as I am I can take a bitch down but a man? Not in this lifetime, doesn’t matter how much I work on building muscles. Sexual predation towards women has always been an issue, gotta check for cameras in the toilets and guard my drinks. If I see a trans trying to pass there is no issue, it is the self-identifying no need to transition weirdos that I’m worried about. Also, I have no interest in what genitals you are carrying. I am here to give my opinion and voice out my concerns. I do listen and try to put myself in other people’s shoes even when the shoes don’t seem to fit. People I’ve never interacted with keep blocking me, I guess because I’m a transphobe now. Lol A simple mind is not a blessing.
