omg!!!!!!! i sow this and got so so excited!! i have ADHD as well as dyslexia and dyscalculia,, its made my life really had in big part do to my (cw school mention) poor treatment is school,, BUT! im currently in college and i hope to get a psychology degree to like, be a therapist and help people as best i can!!! music and art (especially character design) and writing are also huge interests for me and my special interest atm is me and my friends own personal table top role playing game sessions were doing!! i hope this wasnt tmi or anything but <3 hiiii!!!!

im 20 too and i always thought it was harder to get diagnosed w adhd as an adult, my mum took me to a doctor when i was younger bc she believed i was nd but they basically said i was way too self-aware but every time I see people talk about it I'm more + more convinced I have it

I have ADHD too but ive heard really bad things about the medicine. Ill just have to live with it which is pretty difficult but yeah

How would you describe your most common symptoms?
What would be the thing that you feel sets you apart from non-adhd people?
How did you go about getting diagnosed??
Im 24 and ive read somewhere in a group about a woman that got diagnosed at like 46 and what made it clear for everyone was the thousands of projects or crafts she would start and never finish. I am literally identical - to the point of banishing myself from starting any other projects until i finish last years ones. now i do wonder, since i always preferred to learn by myself at home and adapted to my own system (since primary school throughout high school and 2 graduate degrees of people telling me i wont be able with my absenteeism). I am very bad at taking auditory information and rarely watch video content and if so, i need subtitles to engage me constantly so that i pay attention to what im watching. thats just a couple - would be very interesting to know how others are feeling !
on a side note - how does one make a nice forum signature?? i want to have a hello kitty/ snoopy/ barbie signature but I cant figure it out on my own >:-((
