Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). To prevent burning you can bake on an air cushion baking sheet or put parchment paper on a regular cookie sheet.Beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar, and vanilla until very firm. Gradually add sugar and mix. Fold in chocolate chips.Drop by teaspoonfuls on pan. Bake 300 degrees for 25 minutes. They should only be lightly browned.

1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 lg. eggs
2 egg yolks
Vegetable oil
1/2 c. honey
Confetti (tiny candy dots,) For a colorful display
Put
flour on a pastry board, make a wide well in the center of it; mix
baking powder, eggs, and egg yolks into flour. Continue mixing until you
have a solid mass. Then knead dough with your hands until it has a firm
and smooth consistency.Separate the dough into 3 portions and with a
rolling pin, roll the first portion out to about a 1/8 thickness.
Sprinkle flour over sparingly to keep dough from sticking. Then with a
pastry wheel, make 1 inch strips, fold into bows, or your favorite
shape. I leave them in strips. Drop into 2 inches of vegetable oil at
medium heat. If the dough comes to the top quickly, the oil is hot
enough. When shapes are golden brown, take them out and drain on paper
towel. Heat honey over low heat in a saucepan, then dribble it over the
strips or shapes (Crispelle). You can also use sifted confectioners'
sugar instead of honey or I make half of each.1 tsp. baking powder

I'm making a stew of peas, potatoes,carrots, bacon and onions.
A huge batch too.
My employees love it when I make lunch for them after a hellish job. The burly men love this treatment, even though I serve lunch at 10 AM. They adore something hot, and I try to dress the part. Call it a moral booster, to see the boss serving them.
I suffer though, seeing such a batch sitting on my stove and knowing I might only get a cup. The simmering pot is bigger than my hips !!!!!
At least it makes my home smell wonderful and I don't even mind doing the dishes. My crew did very well this week.
It will be a surprise TOO.
When I turn on my cars warning lights, it is ether a disaster, or Lunch time. Everyone holds their breath, and jumps to action if I show up on a job-site. Muhahahaaaaa. I even baked them boring Chocolate chip,oatmeal cookies. A disaster 69% of the time. :D
I keep my men and two women, on a very short leash when out in the field doing dangerous work.
Feed them well with a flourish !!!!!!

What a day I had....
Should a boss, really have to put in a 12 hour day. Granted it was mostly brain work, but still I was so exhausted when I got home I slept for 9 hour straight. The morning was fun, lunchtime was fun; but as always it seems I saw some problems with the job being done, and had to do some quick thinking before a disaster occurred. As Harry Potter would say,"Mischief managed". haha.
