I'm having such a fun day. I'm conspiring with a girlfriend,to treat another girlfriend to the trip of a lifetime, for her and her daughter who is about to turn 2 years old. This might turn into the most silliest birthday party ever. The three of us are like the cutest family ever for the last 6 years, but now add in our cute baby after a trip to the mall for all new clothes, and I sense something very special is going to happen. I already bought Tori (the two year old) her birthday dress. Her mother is going to be so shocked. I never throw around money like this around them because they are a little embarrassed by my wealth. That sounds strange to hear, but living where I do you don't really need money to have a lot of fun, so we always keep our trips simple. Something in my heart, just makes me want to give the birthday girl, and my girlfriends a gift that they never have gotten to do. A true pampering, princess style :D
I'm already getting resistance, though. My best friend is actually very poor herself, is not liking the places and plans I'm making, because she doesn't think she will fit in. I think that is a foolish thing to think. The thought of spending 3 days at a five star resort in Jackson Hole, is not sitting well with her. ??? (Movie stars, and Saudi Princes have homes there, she will fit right in :P) I think she is just nervous, but too prideful to say so. On one hand I totally love her for it, but on the other, I wish she would just step outside the box she is used to, and join me whole heartily in making a fun birthday for a two year old child.
I can't figure out why, she says that she would be embarrassed. I've taken her to fancy restaurants before, and she never had a problem. Of course she has never even been to a hotel, before. Weird but true. I don't want to leave her out of the party though, and can't figure out a way to talk her into it ether. Stubbornness is her gift to the world. I can't figure out why she prefers to live in her mother-in-laws basement with her underpaid husband. It's just for 3 days, for hells sake.
This is a total surprise for the mother and daughter though.
Wouldn't you want to have a birthday BASH, after 2 years of changing Diapers?
Babysitters are easily arranged for the night-time hours.
