She said that and so what? It doesn't mean she has to agree to all his points. Her arguments about alts voting for each other are valid. Many can agree with that point, but right, since AL brought it up it's invalid by default. If it was Cherri or someone else who said exactly the same statement you wouldn't mind it, would you?

First off, don’t bring me into your petty arguments. But since you asked, perhaps the reason players would chose to listen to me over AL is down to two things: credibility and respect. Both are earned, not forced down players throats. Who wants to give credit to someone who actively trolls the forums? AL does make a good point about the alts, however people are biased and that’s human nature. If someone completely fucks their reputation, no one’s gonna listen to them. Why would they? It’s the same reason you refuse to listen to any of Iowas good points, you are biased. And that’s fine. But you don’t need to start getting catty every time Iowa posts on a forum.
Who wants to respect someone who actively disrespects half the site, who believes the people they interact with who disagree with them MUST be alts, etc.
The player base isn’t fucking stupid, and doesn’t deserve to be treated that way. Lastly, no one even said that AL is invalid by default, you are the one that said that, so stop enforcing false narratives and putting words into peoples mouths.

There are both good and bad points to this manifesto, but I think the overarching pros heavily outweigh the cons, so we should be happy about this, not finding yet another reason to start arguing. And if people want to discuss the cons, let them. If people want to discuss the pros, let them. Stop going off topic with all the outdated and quite frankly irrelevant drama. There’s a new thread for a reason.

Side note: Gemima has a point, the mobile version needs updating for easier use. The amount of times this little text box has glitches when writing this - it’s really hard to work with, so apologies for the formatting issues x

Jesus Cherri, I just took you as an example of unquestionable reputation. No idea why you feel called out, but well, to each their own. Now please stop being catty and enforcing false narratives and putting words into peoples mouths. Feel free to forward it to your friends as well.

Hope you guys can stay on topic this time without unnecessarily spam and personal petty dramas. The topic is Sweetasnuts Manifesto. Stick to that topic. It shouldn't be that hard. Ask questions, voice concerns and opinions, etc. Guess you all know what sticking to the topic is.

If you don't have questions some of us do. The way you act is like you want to make it all irrelevant with all derailing from the topic. Current rules are still up.

1. Since your running for PB what happens if you lose?
Do any of these ideas of yours still come into affect if you don't win and if so which ones if any or all?

2. I find this part interesting.
"A breach of peace jail term should be used sparingly and not be issued simply for questioning, mocking, undermining, disagreeing, abusing, insulting or offending another Ximbo. It should be reserved for serious persistent shithousery and is used at the personal discretion of the elected government/PB and fashion police."
Isn't this the issue players have a problem with, the personal discretion part? Why is nobody taking issue with it now? I thought people wanted some type of jailing tier, not the PB/FP descretion. Won't it still be the same then as it is now?

3. You say that jailing if only for use of foul and abusive racial/sexual slurs or for being a persistent and consistent ass. As well as dressing ugly. Yet does this contradict that?;
" The ability to serve justice and jail other Bimbos is a right the government have earned at the ballot box and we all must respect their decisions as final."

4. What happens if someone is unfairly jailed? Would you contact the LJM? (though i don't get why you don't just use the MOJ role for it or is it just being renamed to LJM?)

5. Who would be Presidents Legal council and how many?

Fahion Police note- This thread will be moderated! Stay on topic and take personal dramas to PMs. Anything that is not on topic and adds no value to this thread will be removed.

Also if any one tries to be argumentative in this thread and being off topic will most likely be f banned. So all 3 of you on this page chill out.

Another point I would like to address is the dislike button. If people are afraid of speaking their mind, it's probably out of fear of getting jailed or banned, not cause they're afraid of dislikes on their posts. I doubt anyone is bothered enough by them to not speak their mind and considering the proposed changes would make it harder to get jailed or banned, I don't think removing the dislike button is necessary.

An amazing manifesto, Mr. SweetasNuts.

I know we have had our differences in the past, but I find myself agreeing with you on a lot of these points. Our beautiful republic shouldn’t be ruled by those who only instigate fear in its citizens through censorship and threats with exile, every Ximbo should be allowed to voice their truths and opinions without fear of repercussions for doing so. This is what a true democracy should be. Of course there should be hard lines made that Ximbos can not cross, for the safety of our beautiful republic and its citizens.

I’m excited to hear that there will be a focus on fashion and giving creative Ximbos a platform to sell their wares. I hope this also means that our Ximbo fashion designers are able to tailor wonderful outfits and accessories for us once more without them being rejecting purely based on personal tastes. Our shops have been dying to stock more varied clothes again. Surely we can not keep our Ximbos pretty and up to date with the latest trends if the shops are staggering.

I’m not sure how I feel about allowing vote farming, but I suppose if someone really is dedicated enough to make alternate accounts, level them to 21, and perhaps even pay for them so that they have more votes, there is certainly a level of dedication there that is worthy of some recognition. I trust that our system will be protected enough to intercept botting and cheating to prevent people from automating their vote farm grind.

The overhauls and housing sound promising, I’m curious to see what our beautiful republic will look like after these overhauls. If desired, I’d be willing to give my input on it as well as someone who has experience with UI/UX design, graphic design, and game design.

Of course I’m glad to hear that my exiled friends will be allowed back into our nation. I can’t wait for them to return so we can go shopping together again, give each other makeovers, and attend fashion contests together.

Allowing all senators to be able to run for Prime Bimbo is an amazing idea for giving most of our Ximbo citizens a chance at competing for the position and allow for someone to be elected that the people truly want as their ruler for the next term. Once the opportunity arises, I would love to be your opposition one day and compete against each other for the title of Prime Bimbo. But for right now I’m confident that you, Mr. SweetasNuts, will be a great Prime Bimbo. You will have my vote for the upcoming Prime Bimbo election in February.

i somehow completely missed this part and kirsty is absolutely right. like... what counts as "serious persistent shithousery" and who gets to decide that? i still think having clearly stated rules of what is and isn't allowed and what will happen if users break those rules is crucial. just leaving it up to personal discretion will lead to confusion about rules and punishments as well as uneven application of them, e.g. the response to an incident could be entirely dependent on which FP is online. keeping with the whole roleplay thing, in a real government or real society laws are not applied through an individual's personal discretion (or at least they're not supposed to be)

hmm, would your potential election mean you’d be prime.. himbo? a proverbial break through the glass bimbo ceiling? jokes aside, i have a few questions:

a lot of the proposed changes (such as lifting alt bans, reorganizing PH/the map, etc.) are quite interesting, but is this within the power of the prime bimbo? if you are not elected, can the newly elected prime bimbo still enact these types of changes or does your current role as site owner give only you the true ability to do these things? i bring this up because there have been known issues with some of the site coders cooperation and i’d hate for a new PB to get stonewalled on necessary changes due to not literally owning the site.

additionally, i am very interested in seeing who else will run. should potential candidates start their own manifesto threads as well or will this thread be sufficient?

Chris - your thoughts on paid sponsorships? Say a Bimbo has a Youtube account.. How do you feel about advertisement via sponsorship?

Heydi

Hope you're not too overwhelmed with questions right now but I have another!

Would you consider allowing people to vote on some or all of these changes individually?
I especially love some of the changes like the forum overhual sounds amazing but I have concerns about things like alts and jailing ugly Ximbos. Jailing ugly Ximbos just doesn't feel like freedom of expression which could extend from free of speech. Along with it comes across as more totalitarian than democratic as majority of fashion and aesthetics are subjective.

One very important thing for me to address and re iterate is that I am very keen to make sure teh Prime Bimbo is an attractive role precisely because they do have the power to be subjective and to have the power to decide these things :

a) how liberal or illiberal the Town Square is
b) who gets thrown into jail
c) fashion and style and how we should dress as a nation

Of course each Prime Bimbo will be different but thats exactly how it should be.
Please dont get confused by this - some of you have asked me to try to lay out rules as a way to avoid subjectivity. That wont work and leads to over regulation and eventually I become a dictator and thus we have achieved a complete loss of democracy and freedom of speech.

Why would anyone want to be Prime Bimbo if they hold no power to shape things how they want ?
Please accept the best way to run things is to ALLOW complete subjectivity by the government of the day whilst also maintaining trust in an overall Ximboland political system that keeps them in check ie rewards good governance and penalises bad governance.

Please accept that this system still means you may  be on the wrong side of some persecution or bad decisions ie you may get thrown in jail 'unfairly'. However there is no such thing as a perfect political system. I do however believe this is the 'best' it can be or the 'least bad' system of governance that we can come up with.
