my opinion on transitioning

if your basis for prevention of harm is based on speculation (that
there are a bunch of detransitioners, somewhere, they're just all
totally silent) then it is not adequate. as relatively new as these
treatments for minors are, almost all of the evidence we currently have (which
is similar levels of evidence to many other areas of pediatric medicine)
suggests the following. 1. gender dysphoria is a diagnosable
psychological condition with broad-reaching adverse affects on mental
health, mood stability, self esteem, and psychosocial functioning,
including behavior, academic performance, and neural plasticity. 2.
transitioning is, in the vast majority of cases, an effective treatment
for gender dysphoria with very little demonstrable regret. 3. major
complications as well as individuals ceasing treatment due to
complications are rare. whether you believe that the evidence is of high
or poor quality does not matter, especially when alternative treatment
methods of gender dysphoria such as 'reparative' psychotherapy have even LESS
evidence by a wide margin. the burden of proof is on you to disprove
those statements, and insisting that minors can't consent to medical
treatments with long lasting implications (they can), or that there's a
secret massive number of detransitioners that are simply too scared to speak up
that we haven't yet been able to find, does not meet that burden of
proof. i'll say what i said before again: there is no evidence that
banning this care prevents more harm than it causes.
15 detransitioners wrote to the ohio legislature in opposition to their care ban. the only detransitioner from ohio who testified in support transitioned as an adult. two studies on the experiences of detransitioners found that a significant portion of them did not regret their transition or were ambivalent about it. they did not think that care should be banned. multiple expressed concern that their detransition would be viewed through the lens of a reason why transitioning should not be allowed. yknow, like youre doing right now. detransitioners are not a monolith and i've been in many trans spaces and communities, especially in the past few years, that completely accept detransitioners so long as they don't use their experience to argue that no one should transition. when i briefly considered stopping my hormones due to a medical concern that was later resolved i literally went to multiple detransitioners i knew to ask them what it was like for them. the story you're telling is not consistent with reality.
in
the case of the second article about persistence, it was an audit of every referral to
the only pediatric gender clinic in western australia over a period of
multiple years. they tracked the referrals from open to close and
tracked why they were closed. there is literally no way that someone
could have changed their mind or detransitioned without the clinic
knowing.

I do not agree with transitioning children who haven't fully
developed their frontal lobe.Transitioning children is very new
therefore the "research" cannot be trusted. There is so much
misinformation and people making up shit so it fits their narrative. Besides that we have people who are calling themselves trans without
having gender dysphoria and that is a problem. One thing is not like the
other.
Transpeople try to integrate into society as men or women, not try to
dismantle
society or redefine what a woman/man is. Gross men are using the trans
umbrella
to infiltrate into women’s spaces such as bathrooms, sports, prison
cells and
locker rooms just by saying that they identify as women. If wanting the
protection of children and women
makes me a bigot, then anyone fighting for men to take over women’s
spaces
makes them a misogynist. There are real trans out there fighting for the
protection of children and women such as Buck Angel, Blaire White,
Marcus Dib
and Alexis Blake.
Any doctor giving hormones to minors should have their medical licence revoked ASAP…
Gender dysphoria is a MENTAL DISORDER, and I find it funny how gender dysphoria is the only mental disorder in the world where the treatment is to affirm it. The fact that trans advocates so readily use words like ‘affirmation’ should ring giant alarm bells for anyone who can put two and two together but whatever… it’s just a cesspool for toxic attention and validation seeking. Many trans identified people have other mental problems they need to deal with, like how autistic people are far more likely to identify as trans as autistic people are more susceptible to emotional manipulation, and because they feel ‘othered’ because of their neurodivergence they cling onto the trans label to find a community of other people suffering from ostracisation when they aren’t even trans to being with. Big pharma is pushing the trans movement so they can make disabled kids life long cash cows with experimental surgeries.

wouldn't be a point in transitioning. Perhaps the ones fighting to get
