i encourage you to read my previous posts with regards to trans children. there is no evidence that banning youth transition prevents more harm than it causes. and i will also kindly ask you not to define what trans people are for them. people like buck angel and blaire white are grifters who completely reject everything they previous stood for to hop onto the latest right wing culture war battle. blaire white herself has in the past repeatedly stated she knew she was trans as early as 6 years old, but once trans kids became a point of political contention, she started saying that trans kids dont exist. marcus dib has repeatedly misgendered and berated other trans people, even conventionally gender-conforming and dysphoric trans people, simply because they don't agree with him. they don't care about anything, certainly not women nor children, except getting money off of people who want a trans mouthpiece for their own opinions. they never speak in support of "real" trans people, they never use their money or clout to help "real" trans people access transitioning resources to, as you say, integrate into society as men or women, they ONLY talk about things that a right-wing audience would happen to agree with.
as for men 'using' the trans umbrella to prey on women, there is no evidence that that happens in any meaningful capacity. here are a few examples demonstrating this:
- argentina passed a gender self-identification law in 2012, essentially allowing anyone to initiate a legal gender change at any time. since then, about 16,000 people have undergone the process. there is a grand total of one documented instance of this being abused by a man to gain access to women's spaces. i'm sure, just based on how statistics work, that there are probably at least a few more, but if it was such a readily exploitable loophole you think there would be more than one known instance of it happening, especially since some feminist orgs in argentina pushed back against the law.
- in 8 european states with gender self-identification laws, authorities could not recall a single instance of the laws being used for harassment, assaults, or other malicious purposes. there was one case of an 'artist' declaring himself female and then walking into a women's changing room to 'make a point'.
- a study comparing demographically similar counties in massachusetts that had bathroom and locker room access protections for trans people and those that did not found zero statistical correlation between the laws and an increase or decrease in facility safety.
- an amicus brief filed by the attorneys general of 21 states and washington DC stated that there were no known incidents of harassment or assault in bathrooms as a result of allowing trans students to use the correct bathroom, and outlined multiple ways in which restricting bathroom access for trans students caused harm, including increased instances of bullying and sexual harassment, less participation in academics and extracurriculars, and health problems like bladder and kidney infections from holding in urine for extended periods of time to avoid having to use the bathroom.
obviously not every single instance of abuse, particularly where sexual harassment or assault is concerned, is going to be reported or documented. there being no known incidences doesnt mean that it has never ever happened. but the fact that around 60% of sexual assaults go unreported still means that there are 40% that are reported, so if this was a massive issue there would be something, particularly with how much of a hot button topic it currently is.
if a man wants to assault women or girls there are plenty of ways he can do it without using trans women as a cover. even if they want to do it in womens spaces. a year or two ago a man in i think the UK put on a reflective vest and a utility built and simply walked into a public women's restroom unopposed pretending to be a maintenance worker where he proceeded to attempt to rape a woman in a stall. additionally, if trans people are legally forced to use the facilities of their assigned sex, a man could always just pretend to be a trans man, since they generally, yknow, look like men.

well, generally, treatments are based on what will actually treat the symptoms and not what will fit neatly within a classification. gender-affirming care is the treatment for the condition known as gender dysphoria because it alleviates the symptoms of gender dysphoria. affirming, say, an anorexic person's desire to lose weight does not alleviate the symptoms of anorexia nervosa. it really is not that difficult to grasp.
actual doctors and specialists who work with autistic people as well as multiple autism advocacy organizations have repeatedly stated that the increased prevalence of autism spectrum disorder in trans people is not a valid indication to limit access to transitioning. there is no indication that autistic people are more likely to be trans because theyre more susceptible to "emotional manipulation" or are "channeling" their disorder through gender dysphoria or anything similar. many autistic people have suggested that it is actually because autistic people are less concerned with social norms, or that if there is a biological basis for trans identity it has overlap with the neurological causes of autism. the point about social norms carries some weight considering autistic people are also significantly more likely to identify as non-heterosexual.

Buck actually fought for trans rights so you can live with rights today yet here we are invalidating someone that had to go through all the motions and actually suffered to get his trans acceptance. It is unreal. We could also argue that transitioning children is not beneficial because of the effects that all these drugs will have on their bodies in 20 years but that is still to be seen. Gender dysphoria is a mental condition, the transitioning is to help treat that and therefore if you do not have gender dysphoria, why on earth are you transitioning? It is quite simple. Blaire White lives in reality, she has gender dysphoria and is greatful that people didn't mess with her body at such a young age. There are plenty of mental disorders that make you feel at odds with your self image such as bipolar disorder but that doesn't make that person trans. his unabashed representation of trans men's sexuality when they had
been so commonly infantilized and desexualized. he produced the first
sex toy meant specifically for trans male anatomy. less than 5 years ago
he was talking about gender fluidity, the importance of bridging the
gap between older and younger trans people, his admiration for jazz
jennings (a minor at the time), and challenging the notions of what
makes a man or a woman. he went by the nickname 'tranpa' because he was a
figure that many young trans people looked up to. now he speaks with
open disdain towards the trans community, says that transsexual and
transgender people are entirely different (even though he used to say
the exact opposite), denies the existence of nonbinary people, and
insists that allowing children to transition is child abuse. he didnt do
any of this until it became a popular position in right-wing media.

there are other disorders that make you
feel at odds with your body, yes. altering the body does not reduce the
symptoms of those disorders. it reduces the symptoms of gender
dysphoria.
the drugs used for transitioning
have been used for other purposes for decades. there are trans people
(including buck angel) who have been on hormones for much longer than 20
years. i transitioned eight years ago at 14. i truly do not care if i
have slightly more brittle bones or a slightly higher risk of cancer or
heart disease in another 12 years, because had i not transitioned when i
did i would not be where i am now. the longer my natural puberty
progressed the more my mental health declined, despite therapy, despite
social transitioning, despite anti-depressant and anti-anxiety
medication, despite switching schools, despite a 6 week stay in an
adolescent mental health facility. all of these things helped but i
still attempted suicide. what should my parents have done instead? gone
bankrupt keeping me in inpatient facilities so i wouldnt kill myself? if
i did live to adulthood, what would my life as an adult look like?
before HRT i was failing classes and staying home from school because of
social anxiety and because i didn't see the point in anything. i'm on
an academic scholarship at my first choice university right now, would
that have still been the case? i'm asking these questions not to elicit
an emotional response or to shock anyone but because this is the reality
of having a kid with severe gender dysphoria. these are the questions
my parents had to ask. they had to weigh the possibility of
complications 20 years down the line against the current reality of
their child suffering from a debilitating condition.
