in chris's defense this site desperately needs more open communication, transparency, and avenues for criticism. quite frankly, if you think the last few iterations of the PH haven't had any problems, it's because those problems have been kept hidden. and hey, that's not necessarily an indication of the character of the people involved, nor does it make them bad people; not everyone makes the 100% best decision at any given time and nobody is perfect. but if absolutely everything they do seems well received and there's basically NO public criticism about them, doesn't that seem a little... suspicious?

i'm being rhetorical here but like straight out these forums have had a censorship problem for years lol. idk how it's been in the past couple months since i haven't been playing but this has been consistent throughout all the time i've spent here.

i also think the fact that the prime bimbo and her appointed positions (fashion police minister of justice etc) have been the same rotating cast with almost no variation for the past 3 years is a little problematic. i don't think that kind of concentration of power is good long term no matter if i agree with or like the particular people or not, and i think some new people with new ideas getting the reins would do this site some good.

This is interesting and useful because its allowing people to disagree publicly.
Iowa is perfectly within her rights and its useful for Ximboland to have her share her opinion here openly against the establishment without fear of punishment or recourse.
I tend to agree with Iona - it seems to me that the existing Bimbo establishment are largely known to one another with little room for outsiders to sweep to power.
Kirsty - the clear fact no one challenges the government for 3 terms suggests Iona is right. 
Thats not necessarily all bad - a lot of good can come from that ie continuity, smooth transitions of power, the illusion of 'peace'  etc  
However to be truly democratic we need to have all those things above PLUS the ability for outsiders to win and the ability for outsiders to criticise the existing government free from fear of reprimand or punishment

I will add that the existing Bimbo establishment for the last 3/4 years have done a great job on those 3 things above eg continuity, the transition of power and the illusion of 'peace'.
We can all agree that in general we have had a relatively peaceful period in Ximbolands history and we have had good governance by the last 3/4 Prime Bimbos. They have done great jobs within the Ximboland that existed at that time. We could do with improving things yes but let's not forget the successes we have had

1.No outsiders? There was applications for FP role, i applied. This may be a surprise not many want to do it. Also i have worked with 6 people as my time with FP but never changed right?
2. Reason why PBs doesn't get challeneged is because no one really wants in that bad. 1 SM will tend to step up when the 3rd term ends because if they don't we have no PB for 4 months.

Yes there is some truth in this i agree.
So therefore we must work and make the necessary changes to ensure

a) its easier for people to  sweep to power by allowing any senator to run thus opening up the pool of candidates beyond the current 6 allowed 

b) the role is easier ie allowing alt account so they don't have to ban alt accounts and thus fall out with people and creating a private Pink House sub forum here so they can communicate openly in front of each other but in private and thus no need for any seedy sub forums

And of course we must make some changes to the site to generate more revenues to further increase the treasury money for the government. I am not 100% convinced money is or should be the main motivating factor but we can but try and see! eg add a news feed and try and create creators.

kirsty: i said 'almost no variation'. i know there have been newcomers, yourself included. i also know multiple people not in the current main squad were essentially bullied out of their positions, e.g. poison black, cum_dumpster, and plushklavier. plushklavier ran for prime bimbo twice and she in particular received A LOT of ill treatment. she had her fashion police role removed after disagreeing with someone about how the shop should be run, she was jailed on one occasion for 'conspiring against bimboland' whatever that means, she was accused of being a member of the cowboy gang, or on the subreddit, or whatever else served as a boogeyman at the time, and she was threatened with an outright ban multiple times. she eventually got fed up and stopped playing entirely, which is a shame because she contributed A LOT to this site! if you remember, she worked a lot with toki during her PB term to try to get some positive changes happening, including returning the site age requirement to 18+. poison black and cum_dumpster had a similar experience but plush's is the one i'm most familiar with (i directly witnessed some of it) so i'll only speak on that for now.

I want to become Prime Ximbo. How do I do that?
Any Ximbo citizen can become Prime Ximbo using the democratic process. Its a 3 stage process from Senator>State Minister> Prime Ximbo. All Ximbo citizens can vote in general elections but in order to put themselves forward to become Prime Ximbo they must first become a Ximbo senator. All Ximbo senators are electable as state ministers. State Minister elections take place every 4 months also. Only state ministers are eligible to then become the Prime Ximbo.

Can I become Prime Ximbo more than once?
Yes ­ a Ximbo can hold the position of Prime Ximbo for 3 terms max.

How often do elections take place?
The Internet republic of Ximbolands holds elections every 4 months for Prime Ximbo and 4 months for State Minister.

Where do important discussions take place?
The Town Square.

What is the treasury/Prime Ximbos salary?
The treasury/salary is the bank account of the Internet republic of Ximbo land. This figure is transferred to the paypal account of the Prime Ximbo at the end of their 4 month term in charge.

How is the treasury calculated?
The treasury is funded by the Ximbo citizens.
A percentage of the money paid by Ximbo citizens via Paypal and SMS is transferred into the Ximbo treasury. The rest is wisely used for further game development.
