Actually I suggest you properly consult and engage with your community by running a survey ascertaining how they feel about the suggested changes and do your research into what would legitimately raise site revenue. Let the community speak for themselves. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain because if you implement changes the community wants, they're more likely to actually spend money on the site. It's general business acumen. This thread is exactly that - my proper consultation with the community.
KirstyD8 wrote:1. I never mentioned anything about cheating in my response to you, funny that is the thing your going for about people being banned."it's admitting that mistakes were made and people were hurt by them and trying to make amends."
Who needs to make amends?
"even if banned players are allowed to stay on a new account it is still unfair to force them to start over"
But it's okay to force people on this site in dealing with banned players getting unbanned?
"undoing those bans is reparative justice."
What about the justice for players on here that was effected by the banned players?if someone was banned for egregiously breaking rules (and i can remember very few instances of that actually happening, considering it was well-established that pineconeupmyass cheated and wasn't banned) then they shouldn't be brought back and i'm not suggesting that they should. i'm talking about the person who was banned after saying that they contacted PEGI about this site's age rating, or the person who was banned after saying they wouldn't tell site staff which users were criticizing them on reddit, or the people who were banned during the "hacking" incident who were told they would have their accounts restored and never did, or the person who was banned after arguing with site staff on discord who continued to be charged for their senatorship for multiple months until they contacted paypal directly to have their subscription annulled, or me and all of my friends who were mysteriously banned at the exact same time including one person who literally did not post on the forums, with no known rules being broken, without ever being told why they were banned, who were repeatedly rebuffed and blocked by staff when we asked, or the person who was banned after pointing out a member of staff was calling people the r slur on discord, and those are just the individuals i remember off the top of my head. what damages did they cause? who did they hurt? are you really going to try to tell me that every single person who's ever been banned off this site was banned for completely fair and legitimate reasons when i literally have evidence to the contrary?i was banned. i didn't do anything. i should know. i didn't cheat, i didn't try to rig elections, i didn't embezzle diamonds or whatever the hell pinecone did, i can count on one hand the amount of times i ever got any sort of punishment, and one of those times was for saying a site staff member was being transphobic. i literally directly asked what i did and got no answer.
There is also another important point with regards to the treasury money that goes direct to our Prime Bimbo. It is not 'capped'. It is unlimited.I made 2 entire ass YouTube videos on Ximboland, including a guide for new and returning players. I post my ximbo fits on Instagram and Twitter and speak about it all the time on Twitter. I also play Ximboland on Twitch for my 3k followers to see. But come again about how nobody's promoting it on other sites... Maybe make it a fucking category on Twitch so my streams don't get lost in the thousands of Just Chatting streamers bc that's how I have to categorize it.
So with that in mind why has no one highlighted or encouraged the fact that the government are entirely free to mobilise themselves or their own community to pull in more users by advertising or posting on other sites? I have never seen anyone do that but if i were Prime Bimbo then that would make obvious sense to me. It would be the first thing I do every day ie post on twitter and post on facebook
In fact I would say this chat back and forth has made me realise that the easiest way for our democracy to proceed and grow is for me to step in and lead and get a full understanding and insight as to what can be done in the role. Before then handing it back when the democracy is ready. I don't have the time to do this but sometimes we have to do what we have to do and I cant allow these excuses and telling me how hard the job is for how little you get paid etc without doing it myself
